Julius Buyengo

Regional Centre for Mapping of Resources for Development (RCMRD)

Mr Julius Buyengo is a returning member of the Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) of DE Africa. RCMRD has previously participated as both a TAC member and Implementation Partner in DE Africa’s initiatives.

Julius is a Geo-Information Science and Earth Observation expert with extensive experience in geospatial analytics, remote sensing, and environmental management. At RCMRD, he leads Digital Earth Africa projects, implementing coastline and wetlands services across multiple countries and advancing capacity development initiatives.

As a TAC member, he brings technical expertise, strategic insights, and cross-sector collaboration to drive innovation, informed decision-making, and impactful geospatial solutions for Digital Earth Africa.
