Mr Juan Suarez is a geographer and Senior Manager for Earth Observation and Innovation for Sustainable Development at GMV’s Remote Sensing and Geospatial Analytics Division. With a deep commitment to advancing Earth Observation in Africa, he has dedicated much of his career to promoting geospatial solutions for sustainable development.
With over 25 years of experience, Juan specializes in EO applications for natural resource management, food security, and climate resilience. Since 2015, his focus has been on developing GeoServices to support climate-smart agriculture, leading projects such as AfriCultuReS and ESA GDA Agriculture across Sub-Saharan Africa.
His extensive work with African governments, regional bodies, and international organizations has strengthened his expertise at the intersection of geospatial technology, policy, and sustainability.
