Contract Manager
Imraan is passionate about enabling the innovative use of space for sustainable development. With a career in the aerospace sector that spans more than two decades, Imraan has gained international and national experience in strategy and science policy. At RIIS Imraan has provided strategic leadership, and supported in business development, stakeholder engagement and overseeing expenses and budgeting.
Additionally, Imraan has also provided project leadership, including the design, management, governance control, quality assurance, and overall delivery of client project, specifically in enabling innovation through the aerospace sector in the Southern and Central African region.
Imraan has also previously participated in the development of the African Space Strategy and Policy, supporting in its conceptualisation, and implementation in conjunction with national and international partners, the South African Earth Observation Innovation Challenge. He also managed the Group on Earth Observations secretariat activities, this included: developing and participating in coordination mechanisms to reinforce synergies among national and regional Earth observation activities. Imraan holds a Bachelor of Science in Physics.
