Dr Hamed Alemohammad is an Associate Professor at Clark University and Director of the Center for Geospatial Analytics. He is a leading expert in remote sensing, AI, and geospatial analytics, specializing in statistical modeling and machine learning for big data. His research lies at the intersection of geospatial analytics, AI, and geography, with a focus on understanding Earth system changes through advanced observations and data analysis.
Previously, as Chief Data Scientist at Radiant Earth Foundation, he led the development of Radiant MLHub, an open-access geospatial AI repository that has supported AI-driven geospatial research across multiple sectors. Hamed has worked closely with stakeholders in several African countries to establish benchmarks for mapping agricultural practices at sub- and national levels.
His recent research focuses on the development and application of geospatial foundation models to address complex environmental challenges. Hamed holds a Ph.D. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from MIT.
