Committee on Earth Observation Satellites (CEOS)
Mr David Borges is a Physical Scientist with NASA and serves as Director, Systems Engineering Office, Committee on Earth Observation Satellites (CEOS). Before joining NASA, he spent 10 years supporting a wide variety of clients with geospatial analytic services in the private sector.
His work enabling geospatial solutions in the disaster response sector brought him to the NASA Disasters Program where he served as Associate Program Manager. On behalf of NASA, he now leads a team of satellite, geospatial, and data science professionals supporting NASA and CEOS interests.
He intends to maintain strong linkages between Digital Earth Africa and CEOS activities, particularly regarding technology developments related to cloud-native geospatial and Earth observation applications.
